I''ve been listening to them since they were called The Dust Brothers (Quadruped, look it up). A few weeks ago, I started playing all their albums again, out of the blue. A week later, I see they have a new one about to drop. I swore after the last one that I had given up on them...but then I read that for this album, they chucked all the modern gear and pulled out what they used to make the first two albums...which are still Golden to this day, and you know it, huh.

I used to manage a record store. I turned so many people on to The Chemical Brothers, I feel like they owe me something...and yet, it was a pleasure to buy this album, even after that last one. It''s *such* a good album, friends. I''ve been playing it almost nonstop for 4 days, and no regrets.

On the albums of theirs that I like (MOST), there''s always one track that just brings my funky chicken out-- and yep, hardcore this time. My neck hurts because of what it does to me. I won''t even say which one, you can guess. I am totally going to get the vinyl.

HEY AMAZON! 256mbps is barbaric! Shameful in 2019!

If you are on the fence, jump off. So worth it, I''m buying it twice.

For decades we''ve been pretty regularly treated to ever evolving and always relevant Chemical Brothers music. The genre has completely morphed a few times over that time and these guys keep turning out some fantastic music. No Geography is the 2019 edition and follow the winning formula that''s gotten them this far and that''s fine with me.
I like that "Eve of Destruction", "Bango", and "No Geography" are basically all one uninterrupted song. Pausing and starting over with "Got to Keep On" is a nice pause and we keep going. I could take or leave "The Universe Sent Me". This song has basically been done five times before. I like that they resume the uptempo stuff with "Free Yourself". "MAH" is the best song of the album and has the best "drop" at 2:05 and it was a nice surprise.
This comes in as one of their better albums. It''s put together well and doesn''t have any "duds" on it. While I don''t think it''s a masterpiece or their best, it''s solid. I can''t wait to see how they incorporate it into the live shows this year. I don''t think there''s a better live act going. Edit: You have to see the Glastonbury show. It''s one of the best live sets ever - of anyone.

Solid all the way through

A very solid album all the way through. Feels like a collage of classic record sampling and analog beds. The first there tracks stood out the most for me. I won''t call it my favorite album of theirs but it''s a great addition to the family

Have a collection of 30+ lol. In November, I heard this album was coming out. I pulled out my set and started playing, from 93-2015 in order. Rushed this album here and listened to it all the way through. Once it was finished, I put in the dvd “Don’t Think” (all the classics melded together) to finish off the evening. That was the true end of the Chems. No Geography will be sitting on a shelf. The vocals must go!

My review is a bit biased and shouldn''t be trusted to a new comer to the Chemical Brothers. As a long time fan who owns most EP''s, all LP''s and will more than likely purchase their next album released with out hesitation. I fell in love with Ed & Tom''s EP Setting Sun released in 1996. Their sound is unique, hypnotic, trippy, beautiful, and times catastrophic. No Geography has that Chemical Brothers sound that is definitely their own. I feel it is reminiscent of their 98 release "Brother''s Gonna Work It Out" at times. This is one of those albums that will grow on you the more you listen to it. At first listen, Got To Keep On, The Universe Sent Me, We''ve Got To Try, MAH, and Catch Me I''m Falling, which is a melon collie closing track are my favorites. Seeing the Chemical Brothers live in definitely on my bucket list!

Little to like on this release if you are a Chemical Bros fan of their ''golden age'', namely between 1999-2008 (surrender, come with us, we are the night) where CB really created their own style. This CD is a poor attempt to capture some of this essence, - focusing on the wrong elements. Some tracks seem to blatantly lift more modern electro and techno styles from others to ''modernize'' their sound. I was not keen on a single track. This seems like a shameless money grab, frankly. Sad Panda.

Great album!

This will be remembered as “one of the better” Chemical Brothers albums, but it DOES take a few listens. It has some tracks that remind of their original “big beat” style, and others that remind of the “Echoes” album. Fantastic walk through their entire career overall.

So, the new Chemicals album. Should you be excited? If you''ve liked their previous albums then yes, you should. If you''ve loved their previous albums then yes, you definitely should. I absolutely love this album and my reasons are similar to why I love any other Chemical Brothers albums - they enthrall, challenge, entertain and create a new musical experience. They are just so elemental, these tracks are not all perfect but each has a solid identity, a purpose and a kind of soul. Did I love every one? Not yet at least. No, the delight here is not in the cheerful niceness on offer, not the unceasing goodness of everything, but the diversity and the attention it demands. In short I don''t love all of it, but the highest peaks are so dazzlingly, beautifully high that you happily concede the parts that don''t capture quite take you away. It is quite a ride. Think of something called "the Chemicals tax". Rarely have one of their albums (for me) been prefect but each have those tracks, that moment, that drop or riff that is just wonderfully transcendent. Golden moments. You just might not be dialed in to each one in every song but each is just fabulous. That''s the tax. Dizzying highs in exchange for a few raised eyebrows. The Chemical Brothers have, fourth me, made albums that have moved my musical boundaries and this is no different. No Geography is so rewarding because it is it''s own thing, meaning something brilliant to everyone who listens to it. Trust me, let the Chemicals take you on this ride and enjoy it, it can take up to some lovely places.

I was really looking forward to this album (being old enough to have enjoyed the Chemicals in their hey day) but it’s left me a tad disappointed. I’d heard they were using a lot of the old samplers and kit from their first few albums, all of which are superb in my opinion, but this album just fails to capture the raw and exciting sound they had back then. It’s not a bad album by any stretch but I’d definitely recommend checking it out before you buy because if you’re expecting something along the lines of their early stuff you may be disappointed. Maybe I’m missing something...

I have all the Chemicals albums and all for me are a mix of a couple of dud tracks, some good stuff and some truly exceptional, groundbreaking distinctive EDM. So if I was to give 5 star rating to each track and then average it most come out at i guess a 3.5. And that''s fine because the 5 * tracks more than compensate for the o''s and 1''s. Problem with this album is for me it''s a bunch of the fillers. Good tracks but most electronic artists standards but don''t hit the bar these guys have set. Weirdly it didn''t even feel particularly like a CB album - more like an anonymous DJ housemix. Disappointing really. I''ll give it another go, but in the past the stand-out track make an instant impression so I''m not expecting a change. Odd how the album is splitting opinion too.
